The long-term desire of the Vincentians to have a study house for the major seminarians got the green light at the end of 2016 when a plot was bought in Olkieri, Ngong diocese close to Nairobi. The house will be ready in 2018 and it will accommodate both Indian missionary students and African major seminarians.

The construction of the Vincentian Major Seminary started in the second week of September 2017 and by the help of God it will be blessed on July 3, 2018. The seminarians (now in the Lavington Vincentian Prayer House and the Vincentian philosophy students who are at present with the Missionaries of Francis de Sales in Arusha, Tanzania) will then move here.
