Minor Seminary, Mitemula, Masaka
The Vincentians started to accept local vocations from African soil in the year 2013. They built their own minor seminary on a plot of 56 hectars previously bought with the purpose to develop a farm to grow different plants in order to support the boys´ home. It was blessed on June 13, 2015 on the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It can accommodate 30 seminarians. At the same time the majority of the land is still used as a farm for growing coffee beans and fruits.
Update May 2018
There are currently 13 seminarians in two grades. After completion of this Minor Seminary they will move to the novitiate in Vikindu, Tanzania.
The big plot is used for the extensive cultivation of coffee plants, growing fruit and vegetables and breeding animals. There is a football pitch down the hill and a volleyball pitch up the hill next to the house.
