Divine Mercy Retreat Centre, Kabulassoke, Masaka
Located on top of a hill, this place was donated to Fr. Bill in 2005 by people whom he inspired with his preaching. In February 2008 he blessed a newly built house for priests. Development of this place was managed by Fr. Anthony. One year later the Divine Mercy Church was blessed. The construction of a dormitory and other facilities followed. There are regular services and retreats provided.
Update May 2018
This peaceful place got electricity just recently, before only solar energy was used. The centre is being further developed step by step. The fence was put around the priest house and a square was built in front of the house. A small farm was established here for breeding different animals - cows, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc. The coffee plants planted in 2010 grew enormously and provide rich coffee beans. In addition to the existing dormitory a house will be built with rooms for priests and religious and other people participating in the residential retreats. The annual program of the Kabulassoke centre is summarized here.
